Rest, play, leisure, recreation and cultural and artistic activities

The Committee recalls its general comment No 17 (2013) on the right of the child to rest, leisure, play, recreational activities, cultural life and the arts, and recommends that the State Party strengthen measures taken to guarantee the right of children with disabilities, children from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds and children belonging to ethnic and religious minority groups to engage in ageappropriate and accessible recreational activities, sports, cultural life and the arts.
