The Committee recalls its general comment No. 4 (2003) on adolescent health and general comment No. 20 (2016) on the implementation of the rights of the child during adolescence and recommends that the State Party strengthen measures taken to prevent substance abuse among adolescents and ensure that adolescents have access to appropriate health and support services, including accessible and youth-friendly treatment for drug and alcohol dependence.
