23. Considering the weakening of important rights owing to the pandemic, and the need to draw, at a global level, lessons from this disruptive crisis, the Committee recommends that the State party, with the aim of preventing, coping with and overcoming crises and current challenges in a gender-sensitive manner, draw up an assessment of the impact of the pandemic on women in the State party, give new impetus to gender equality, and initiate new and innovative measures aimed at consolidating women’s rights and women’s empowerment in public and private spheres, including through increasing allocation of resources.
